In this session, we will introduce a conversation guide, My Hearing Explained for Children. My Hearing Explained for Children is a free pediatric tool that helps hearing care professionals empower children and their families to make informed decisions about their hearing care.

It has driven past technological advancements and propels our vision for how we need to develop technology in the future. We will discuss how hearing care professionals can use this information effectively with patients to encourage them to take the next step towards better hearing.

In this course, we will discuss how Oticon’s Genie 2 fitting software offers numerous opportunities to customize and personalize fittings using built-in tools and features. We will cover how busy hearing care professionals can effectively use these tools and features to successfully fine-tune and validate Oticon instrument fittings for their patients.

The use of remote hearing care has been shown to provide benefits for professionals, patients and their families. Parents of preschool-aged children who wear hearing aids were interviewed to understand their experiences using the Oticon remote hearing care application with their clinical audiologist.

This course will review the Oticon CROS solution, which set a new standard among CROS/BICROS hearing aids. With the addition of the revolutionary open sound experience and first ever dual-streaming capabilities, we offer an immersive sound experience for those with single-sided deafness and open up the world to even more people.

Communicating the benefits of advanced technology and making a strong recommendation is an important step in the counseling process. Information shared as a result equips the patient to take the next step in their hearing healthcare. This course will share suggestions for consumer-friendly language to support the professional in recommending Oticon More as the standard of care for their hearing solution.

Evidence shows that person-centered care (PCC) not only improves outcomes, it can also yield efficiency savings through more personalized treatment plans and by helping people to better manage their own conditions.
This webinar outlines the fundamental principles of PCC and presents some of the key benefits. It introduces attendees to Inspired by Ida – a program established to help hearing care professionals implement PCC in their everyday practice, and includes concrete examples, shared by existing Inspired by Ida members, Carol L. Clifford from Albuquerque Hearing & Balance, Anne Rankin Cannon from Hearing Doctors of Georgia, and Kali Markle from the Utah State University Hearing and Balance Clinic.
