The co-morbidities of hearing loss include social isolation and loneliness, depression, increased risk of falls, as well as cognitive decline, and related dementias. In this presentation, we will describe how digital therapeutics are changing the face of healthcare, and then present an example of how digital therapeutics may be used to treat hearing loss and its downstream effects.

This course will introduce My Sound as the 3rd generation of Widex’s Machine Learning feature application within the MOMENT app. After taking this course, participants will be able to describe Widex’s use of AI and machine learning applications and demonstrate My Sound benefits to clients.

This course will review enhancements to the MOMENT product line, accessories, and Compass GPS 4.2 programming software. After taking this course, participants will be able to describe these 10 enhancements and discuss the benefits to the client and clinician.

2. After this course, participants will be able to discuss the benefits of these enhancements when fitting/fine tuning their clients wearing Widex MOMENT.

Clinical research in hearing in noise testing using the Repeat Recall Test (RRT) will be shared along with understanding how and why results relate to working memory, cognition, and noise tolerance in end users. Efficient evaluation protocols of the RRT will be presented enabling Hearing Care Professionals to better understand the individual listening needs of each person and appropriately modify the hearing treatment plan, as needed, to increase Hearing Aid satisfaction.

This course will review the Widex MOMENT Fine-Tuning steps in Compass GPS as well as the use of the MOMENT App for End User fine-tuning. After taking this course, participants will be able to identify the fine-tuning elements in Compass GPS fitting software and in the MOMENT App.

The role of amplification on cognition and general well-being of the wearer is increasingly recognized, but the role of specific hearing aid features in this process is also important, as processing features of hearing aids could affect the ease of understanding. In this seminar, Dr. Kuk will use a cognitive model to explain why processing delay on a hearing aid could affect the user’s experience with amplification.

This course will review the Widex MOMENT fitting in Compass steps GPS 4.0. After taking this course, participants will be able to confidently complete a MOMENT First Fit in Compass GPS fitting software.
