This 3 hour webinar reviews the cortical auditory evoked potential (CAEP) in adults, children and infants. It describes the use of the N1-P2 response complex as an objective predictor of hearing threshold in adults and older children. It discusses the relationship between audibility of speech sounds and the presence of CAEPs in infants and children with hearing loss using amplification. Additionally, it describes how CAEPs are being used in clinical practice to assist with fitting of hearing aids in young infants. Clinical case studies and examples are provided.
