This presentation will provide individuals both new to and experienced with Phonak a glimpse into the corporate philosophy and technology that has allowed Phonak to help so many people globally enjoy the gift of hearing. This course will prepare providers with an overview of the technology, how the technology is developed and examples of applications when to use different products within the portfolio.

In this course we will interview Jerry Northern, PhD, a pioneer in the field of pediatric audiology, and his daughter, Amy Hardie, MEd, a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing. We will discuss the evolution of universal newborn hearing screening in the United States and the current state of early intervention for children with hearing loss.

This course covers the integration of audiology services in an established Neonatology clinic. Risk factors and case studies will be reviewed and discussed to highlight the importance of collaborative care for this high-risk population.

This course will define and demonstrate how Audioscan hearing instrument fitting and verification technology can be used to implement the most current recommended FM verification procedures, and how these procedures can be used for both the verification of FM and any remote microphone technology.
