Managing Managed Care: Audiology and Hearing Aids in a Third-party World
The audiology revenue cycle begins at appointment scheduling. We will discuss the process of effective third party reimbursement, specifically as it relates to hearing aids. Discussion will include: verifying coverage and benefits; selection and fitting of hearing aids being paid in whole or in part by a third-party payer; and, the billing and reimbursement process and how it is intertwined with the selection and fitting. Third-party administrators and their role in the managed care arena will also be addressed.
