The ability of audiologists to visit social media sites such as Facebook’s Audiology Happy Hour to “crowd source” clinical opinions are popular, but there are several significant drawbacks. A preferred approach to tapping into the hive mind is using evidence-based practice (EBP) principles. This podcast reviews basic EBP principles, the value of the systematic meta-analysis and how they improve the clinical decision-making process and ultimately patient outcomes.
