Supervising students and employees can be a daunting task for any professional in a management or ownership position. Fostering the next generation of doctors of audiology and support staff requires that we to choose a leadership path that moves beyond a “command and control” paradigm to teaching integrative leadership skills that highlight personal awareness and professional courage to move beyond the numbers.

Signal processing in hearing aids must be able to give the user benefits in a broad range of these complex environments. In this presentation, recorded waveforms from a range of different sound situations through several different advanced technology hearing aids will be presented, along with a discussion on how well the design and function of the various approaches handle different types of listening environments.

While more and more patients with mixed and conductive hearing loss are being treated with Baha solutions, bilateral fittings remain rare. This presentation will review the candidacy criteria for bilateral fittings and discuss the potential benefits of bilateral fittings for patients who are appropriate candidates; we will also review features in Baha fitting software which support bilateral fittings.

This session will provide an overview of the latest Starkey Healthable Hearing Technology, hearing aids, accessories and features.
