How do I perform patulous ETF testing on the GSI TympStar Pro?

The release of firmware version 1.2 for the TympStar Pro™ includes a special test for evaluating patulous Eustachian tube function. When a Eustachian tube becomes patulous (open), patients will often report echo-like vocalizations, an ocean-like roar with normal breathing, and a significant and often disturbing increase to the sound of eating food internally. Common causes of a patulous Eustachian tube include significant and rapid weight loss, certain medications, scarring associated with adenoidectomy surgery, localized radiation therapy, and neurologic disorders causing muscle atrophy.
The Patulous ETF screen is very similar to the Reflex testing screen and presents information for conducting the test. Multiple tests may be collected and the collected graphs with different probe tones are stored as tabs on the left side of the graph. The tabs at the top of the graph are used to select the ear to be tested. The area to the right of the graphic area displays the admittance and pressure meters along with the Test Condition information. Patulous ET data is collected in the scratch pad (upper left graph area). The test data is automatically stored in the Patulous ETF Test Results area (bottom) when the Stop button is pressed or when the test time (time base) has elapsed. A maximum of eight stored test results may be saved.
Time base defaults to 30 seconds, however, can be adjusted up to 60 seconds in 15 seconds increments from the settings menu.
