Doubles the $30,000 raised for hearing health education and advocacy

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (June 7, 2024) – Starkey, a global leader in hearing technology, participated in the 2024 Twin Cities Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Walk4Hearing with more than 90 employees, friends and family attending. At the June 2 event, Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich, the national Walk4Hearing chair, announced that Starkey will match the total amount raised, reaffirming the company’s commitment to promoting hearing health. Starkey is also a sponsor of HLAA’s Walk4Hearing events, designed to raise funds and awareness, as well as bring hope to people with hearing loss in 21 cities across the country.

“Starkey has always been dedicated to improving the lives of people with hearing loss, and this initiative underscores our commitment to this mission.” said Sawalich. “We believe that education and advocacy are values we can all get behind, and by working together, we can make a significant impact and provide greater support for the HLAA and its life-changing programs.”

“Walk4Hearing brings HLAA’s mission to empower people with hearing loss to cities and towns across the country. Generous support like Starkey’s helps us reach more people with hearing loss, to show them they are not alone, and to build more resources to help them live full lives. With Starkey’s support, we are putting hearing health on the map,” said HLAA Executive Director Barbara Kelley.

With Starkey's matching contribution, the impact of the funds raised will be doubled, ensuring that the HLAA can continue to provide critical services and support to the hearing loss community. Starkey's involvement highlights the company’s leadership and dedication to advancing hearing health and accessibility for all.
